About

I design. I’m an industrial designer with an affinity for craft and ingenuity. I’m a little bit quirky and a little bit rock-and-roll. When I can’t find exactly what I’m looking for at the store, I make it. And I rarely find exactly what I’m looking for.

I ponder, as well. I study philosophy and psychology to understand people. I observe how individuals interact with objects and brands, which is central to the practice of industrial design.

I grew up in Minnesota and earned some character by assembling motorcycle components, producing adhesive tape, building cabinets, and driving forklift. I earned my BFA at the Academy of Art in San Francisco living amongst tech startups, design firms, and social movements — an environment that piqued my appetite for innovation and evolution.

I feed that appetite every day, and it only gets stronger.
